What Our Students are Doing

The Students Going Green™ Handset Drive

The Handset Drive is a recycling and disposal project designed to raise kids' awareness about the need to recycle and properly dispose of cell phone and other batteries to keep them out of the environment.

Our first ever drives were held on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2007 at Notre Dame de Sion and Olathe South High School and were huge successes with students bringing in a total of nearly 600 used handsets that were then sent on to a recycling center.
